(Watertown, WI)- Dave Westlake, candidate for U.S. Senate from Watertown, announced today that his campaign team has added a key health care expert to his advisory team.

"We're excited and honored to have Dr. Tim Westlake [not a known relation to the candidate] from Oconomowoc aboard our advisory team to assist us in the formulation of a solid health care solution that is comprehensive, cost effective, and meets the continually-evolving needs of the public" said Dave Westlake upon finalizing the agreement with Dr. Westlake.

The Westlake for Senate campaign team has been traveling extensively throughout the state over the past several months and they've been doing a lot of listening. "We base the health care solutions we're formulating off of what we hear the people tell us" Dave Westlake said. "We prefer to do as little talking as possible--we want Wisconsinites to talk to us and give us their ideas...and we've heard a lot of great 'common sense solutions' come from the people of this great state." Once the ideas are collected--then consolidated from literally thousands down to a few dozen--Dave and Tim Westlake sit down with the rest of the advisory team to discuss feasibility, priority, and how a such a program would be implemented.

"Having an expert on our team like Dr. Westlake allows us to not only balance the 'wish list' we collect during our listening sessions and meetings with real-life practicality, but it also gives us the chance to uncover entirely new areas that Dr. Westlake is acutely aware of but was not mentioned by the public in any of our sessions. A great example of this is a strategy we're working on for vaccines--Dr. Westlake has an incredible amount of information on this topic that very few in the general public are aware of...and clearly this needs to be a part of any comprehensive health care strategy."

Dr. Westlake adds "This is such an important topic--not just to me as a physician and a partner in a small business, but as a citizen of this state and nation." He continues "The general welfare of our society and the economic viability of our nation both hang in the balance.
