On Tuesday, September 7th, Dave Westlake unveiled a comprehensive tax reform plan that will help the nation to meet a number of crucial challenges.

Westlake’s plan is designed to break the present, negative fiscal and economic cycle by limiting government spending and shifting the basis for taxation from our income to our consumption. “Government’s spending is out of control,” he asserts. “Rather than reducing spending, the government has simply increased the tax burden. That burden impacts all Americans, regardless of attempts at targeting certain income earners. My plan is aggressive but would substantially lower and simplify taxes for all Americans, while providing needed control over how much money the federal government receives from us and allowing us to achieve surplus budgeting and zero national debt in our lifetime.”

Dave spoke at the Washington County TEA Party on August 7th. Speakers weren't allowed to talk about their campaigns, their opponents, or themselves, so Dave spoke about the value of TEA Party movement, those who participate, and the role movements like this have played in making our country great!
